Sonya Bloomfield is the Head of Resourcing for Vodafone NZ Ltd. Moving from marketing to recruitment 12 years ago she gained her initial experience in agency recruitment. Now a specialist for in-house recruiting across the banking and telecommunications sectors she has overseen the implementation and success of new initiatives and targeted recruitment projects. Sonya has utilized the tentacles that social networking provides to tap into new talent. Innovating in student grad programs, social media sourcing, employment brand, executive search and most recently enriching workplaces through diversification and a Maori Graduate program.

As Sonya’s network has grown her roles have shifted from broad ranging recruitment to specific project work. Social media has bought her love of marketing and analytics to the forefront. Sonya is passionate about diversity and has built channel strategies to drive gender and ethnicity initiatives. Her enthusiasm is contagious and the energy she brings can’t help but rub off on those around her.
